Position Title : Mobile Field Mechanic

Location : Salt Lake City, UT

Reporting to : Field Service Supervisor

Open to Relocation : No

On-Site / Hybrid / Remote : On-Site

Travel Required : 75%

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures
• Follow and promote The Terex Way Values
• Work on a wide array of equipment including : truck mounted aerial platforms, digger derricks and cranes
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and / or electrical systems
• Manage own schedule and support customers with repairs
• Utilize current technology to support everyday work functions

Required Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic set of mechanical tools (sockets, wrenches, and battery-operated impact gun)
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with heavy machinery and / or utility equipment
• Able to pass MVR
• 2+ years of Field Service experience
• Must be located within 60 miles of Salt Lake City, UT
• Ability to obtain a DOT qualification
• Willingness to submit for pre-employment background check and drug screening

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• 5+ years in a similar field
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Background in customer service
• Experience with utility-type equipment
• Fluid Power Society certification
• Extensive knowledge of Terex Products : e.g Hi-Ranger, Telelect
• JLG or Genie experience
• Basic computer skills

Work Environment Considerations :

• Must be willing to work varied hours, including evenings as necessary and be on the road three to four nights per week.
• Able to climb ladders and over and under vehicles.
• Willing to work in different weather conditions
• Tolerable to heights
• Able to lift, push, pull up to 40 lbs

Salary : The compensation range for this position is $32-40 hourly . Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
