ASSYST is seeking IT Asset Management Analyst Senior in Laurel, MD. The candidates will work with the IT Asset Manager to maintain the HAM Pro / SAM Pro modules, including enhancements, testing, and upgrades.
They will also develop internal operating procedures, create asset records for all new purchases, reconcile asset licenses, and prepare reports.
The main function of the group is to maximize the value of our clients asset investments while managing cost, risk and compliance through the asset lifecycle.
Education, Skills and Experience Required :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field and four (4) years of relevant experience.
- 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Experience analyzing IT asset data for cost, risk, and compliance.
- Experience managing IT assets through their lifecycle.
- Understanding of software licensing and how hardware
- configurations impact licensing.
- Understanding of different software publisher licensing metrics.
- Experience with ServiceNow Asset Module (HAM / SAM).
- Experience maintaining an IT Hardware or Software asset repository.
- Experience producing reports and presentations.
- At least 2 (two) years of experience administering and developing the hardware and software asset modules in ServiceNow.
- Advanced Excel functionality and data manipulation experience.
- Extensive knowledge of asset discovery tools such as SCCM and
- ServiceNow to extract and analyze asset information.
- Certified in ServiceNow Administration and Development (Preferred)
- Experience creating software entitlement records in SAM Pro
- ServiceNow development and administration of HAM / SAM modules.
- ServiceNow Scripting (JavaScript, Glide API), ServiceNow Discovery, ServiceNow Workflows, Integration Hub / Graph Connectors
