Physical Therapist (P.T.) InpatientFull-time - Weekend Option· Work location : Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, Ft.

Worth, TX 76104· Physical Therapy departmentWork hours : Full-time, 40 hours / week, 3 Days during the week and every Saturday and Sunday 8AM-5PM, rotate some holidays.

Will have 1 weekend off every quarter pre-scheduled.Physical Therapy department highlights : · Supporting the 815-bed, Magnet-designated, full-service hospital that has served the Ft.

Worth and surrounding community since 1930· A rewarding career with family-friendly hours· Level I trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke centerAdvanced Total Hip ProgramAdvanced Total Knee ProgramBrian tumor program certified with gold seal of approvalSpine surgery certifiedPrimary heart attack centerGeriatric hip fracture programNeurotrauma program certifiedHere’s What You Need· Bachelor’s degree completion of a Physical Therapist program required.

  • Inpatient Acute Care experience preferred, however no experience needed, New grads are welcome!· PT - Physical Therapist Texas - Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required· Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Problem-solving ability, Ability to teach others and Time management skills.· Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skillsWhat You Will Do· Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
  • Performs treatment procedures / techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.· Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and / or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs / self-management and assistive equipment.
  • Initiates therapy discharge planning in collaboration with care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition.
