Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist or Assistant (SLP / SLPA) Position in Crystal Lake, IL
Job Overview : We are actively seeking a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our educational team in Crystal Lake, IL.
This role is designed to support students with speech and language disorders, aiding their communication skills and overall academic achievement.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Implement treatment plans and provide therapy sessions to meet the needs of each student.
- Assist SLPs in the preparation and execution of therapy sessions if applying as an SLPA.
- Collaborate with school personnel and families to maximize the effectiveness of interventions.
- Document and maintain accurate records of students' progress and therapy outcomes.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required for SLPs; Associates degree or completion of an accredited SLPA program required for SLPAs.
- Valid Illinois licensure as an SLP or certification as an SLPA.
- Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
