Part-time Telehealth Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Gateway Rehab is seeking a dedicated and experienced Telehealth Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a part-time basis.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing mental health support through telehealth services. As a Telehealth Psychiatric Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting psych evaluations, performing medication management, and evaluating both new and returning patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psych evaluations for new and returning patients.
- Perform medication management in accordance with established protocols.
- Evaluate new patients to assess their mental health needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Conduct thorough psych assessments on returning patients to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Follow ups are scheduled during appointment by Provider.
- Charting and complete services.
- Writes prescriptions.
- Works with digital coordinator to coordinate staffing levels.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of psychiatric nursing principles and practices.
- Proficient in conducting psych evaluations and developing comprehensive care plans.
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their appropriate administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective telehealth interactions.
- Ability to adapt to various telehealth platforms and technologies.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Ability to maintain records in a timely fashion.
- Ability to coordinate care with the team that may include therapists, nurses, CRS workers, administration, office staff when necessary.
Requirements :
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current and valid nursing license in Pennsylvania required.
- Applicants who do not have current licensing in Pennsylvania will be required to provide proof of application
- Certification in psychiatric nursing is preferred.
- Additional certifications in telehealth or related fields are a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Pass a PA Criminal Background Check.
- Obtain Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting clearances.
- Pass Drug Screen
- TB test if warranted.
