The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Job Summary

With your deep expertise and proven success using analytical thinking and iterative problem-solving, you have what it takes to manage programs and processes strategically and tactically.

Whether balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders or making data driven decisions, and a risk mindset, you will serve as a trusted advisor who routinely solves complex business problems and delivers against milestones in the finance controllers technology space.

Sound knowledge of financial accounting and enthusiasm to work with cloud technologies is required.

Major Responsibilities

  • As a lead system analyst, you are the liaison between business stakeholders and the technology team, prepares technical specification based on functional requirements and conducts feasibility and cost benefit studies exhibiting an expert knowledge of systems analysis techniques and a comprehensive knowledge of the bank's business and system flow within the organization.
  • Proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects / enhancements
  • Conducts formal requirement walkthroughs and obtains user consensus.
  • Validates and ensures that functional requirements are met.
  • Conducts formal implementation reviews.
  • Anticipates and circumvents problems where possible.
  • Provides formal and informal user training, internal consultant for the applications support team, coaches and mentor’s junior staff.
  • Works on large, complex projects that have enterprise-wide impact and require subject matter expertise of multiple process improvement areas and mastery of process improvement tools.
  • Works as a project team member on multiple projects to facilitate process improvements involving multiple sites or business areas, often as a project leader.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors’ Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, or Information Systems, or Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or a related field or a degree in financial accounting with relevant technology experience or experience in the financial services or banking industry or relevant experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial accounting with technical expertise on Oracle ERP systems
  • Experience in Banking or Financial Services Technology with a solid understanding of Record to Report cycle in General ledger with ledger constructs like Chart of Accounts, Cross validation rules etc.
  • Desired knowledge of Oracle ERP Financials Financial Accounting Hub, Procure to Pay and Asset lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of technical solution - application, data, and cloud architecture preferably Oracle cloud ERP
  • Experience in mapping organizational data to the application tables / data dictionary.
  • Experience with RDBMS based databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
  • Experience designing ad-hoc reports or templates, preferably SmartView or OBIEE reports.
  • Experience on Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.) is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively uncover, align and manage stakeholders’ needs and expectations.
  • Action oriented - escalates and resolves issues in a timely manner.
  • Working knowledge of complex technology systems implementations, with ability to effectively communicate with technology and business partners.
  • Comfortable navigating dynamic environments, ambiguity and being a catalyst to drive decisions.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $120K - $145K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.

This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and / or incentive compensation.
