Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum) :
$24.693 - $30.866 - $37.040
The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
What You Will Do
To assist with the administration of Volunteer Services Department programs by providing supervision on weekends and evenings, coordinating trainings, and scheduling volunteers.
This is a Temporary position that is expected to end in January 2025.
Preferred Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience working with volunteers in a supervisory capacity
Essential Functions
Act as a resource
Serves as a resource person to volunteers in the daily operations of the Volunteer Services Department.
Supervise volunteers on assigned shifts.
Collaboration
Develops relationships with community agencies, groups and professional affiliations as appropriate to increase volunteerism and develop new programs.
Develop and implement
Develops and implements junior and student group meetings and reward and recognition events.
Orientation
Recruits, screens, and orients of new volunteers.
Professional development
Maintains professional growth and development.
Record management
Maintains volunteer personnel files and assists with completing annual testing on all volunteers.
Scheduling
Maintains volunteer schedules and responds appropriately to fill openings. Follows up with volunteers in person and by phone regarding schedules and performance.
Teamwork
Develops and maintains working relationships with management, volunteers and hospital employees. Communicates in a positive and professional manner.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated experience in working with diverse group of people.
- Public speaking is highly desirable.
- Bilingual a plus.
