We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our vibrant primary care office.

In this role, you will ensure efficient workflows, high-quality patient care, and optimal resource utilization. Your leadership will be essential in driving operational excellence and fostering a positive, collaborative work atmosphere for our staff and patients alike.

Key Responsibilities :

Staffing & Leadership :

  • Recruit, manage, and retain top clinical and administrative talent to meet the evolving needs of our patients.
  • Evaluate staff competencies, conduct performance reviews, and implement growth strategies.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Operational Management :

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient workflows and high patient satisfaction levels.
  • Manage clinic schedules, employee attendance, and ensure appropriate staffing.
  • Guarantee compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Customer Service :

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns with respect and urgency.
  • Advocate for patients to ensure their experience meets our high standards of care.

Supply & Facility Management :

  • Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment functionality.
  • Ensure the clinic environment is clean, safe, and conducive to high-quality care.

Financial & Performance Management :

  • Analyze performance data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  • Hold the team accountable for achieving key performance metrics and operational goals.
  • Oversee financial intake and banking needs at the center level.

Business Development & Growth :

  • Engage in business development initiatives to support clinic expansion, including capacity reporting and schedule optimization.
  • Build strong relationships with external partners and vendors to streamline operations.

Compliance & Safety :

  • Ensure adherence to all healthcare laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Implement operational strategies that foster a safe and effective environment for patients and staff.

Job Requirements :

  • Minimum of 1 year of operational management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams through collaboration, trust, and respect.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills, with the capacity to facilitate constructive dialogue.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and experience in strategic planning and problem-solving.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to pivot strategies in response to changing business and patient care needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with staff, patients, and external partners.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team toward shared goals and practice success.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and other practice management tools (e.g., Microsoft Suite, Phreesia).
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and enhancing the overall patient experience.
  • Strong focus on customer service excellence and improving patient health outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Familiarity with Allscripts or similar EHR systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.
  • Experience in a primary care or outpatient clinic environment is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Metro Detroit healthcare landscape and previous experience in local settings.
