POSITION SUMMARY

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be part of a team that strives to uphold Unio Health Partners' mission of providing the highest level of care.

You will be responsible for scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations for procedures, and for providing exceptional customer service.

This position goes above and beyond for our patients to take the stress out of each doctor's visit.

What you will be doing

Checks in and registers patients arriving for their appointments and obtains registration forms, reviewing for completeness and verifying insurance cards.

This may include patient check-out at the end of the visit ensuring that the process is complete.

  • Maintaining appropriate facility records; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; restocking exam / procedure rooms; filing and scanning.
  • Answer numerous phone calls while checking in / outpatients
  • Work with a variety of different insurance companies to confirm eligibility and obtain authorizations
  • Coordinate patient and physician appointments and maintains scheduling system so records are accurate and complete.

What you will bring to the team

  • Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility preferably with front office experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with patient privacy rules
  • Experience working with insurance eligibility and authorizations
  • Experience with computer-based practice management, electronic medical records, and Microsoft Suite
  • Bilingual-Spanish and English

Please note that actual pay will be determined based on the relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range.
