Job Summary :
Methodist Healthcare System is recruiting skilled and dedicated emergency medicine physicians to join our collegial team at Methodist ER - De Zavala in San Antonio, Texas.
Qualified Candidates :
- Must be BC / BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained
- Possess strong communication skills
- Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills
Incentive / Position Details :
- 13,800 annual volume
- 9 ED beds
- 24 hours of physician coverage
- Shift times : 7a-7p, 7p-7a
- MediTech EMR
- Trauma transfers to Methodist Hospital or Methodist Children’s Hospital
- 1099 position - up to 120 hours available
- Meditech EMR
Methodist ER De Zavala and Methodist Healthcare System :
- The emergency services team is fully trained team and equipped to handle a variety of adult and pediatric conditions.
- Radiology, full-service laboratory and telemetry
- Specific on-site diagnostic equipment will include : 64-slice CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, ultrasound and telemetry equipment
- Immediate intervention for serious emergencies where treatment time is critical with quick transfer capabilities to any Methodist Healthcare facility
- 24-hour monitoring and testing of patients, such as chest pain cases
- Use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) to allow staff to electronically transmit any diagnostic image
