Sr. Analyst, IT - Project Manager
Position Summary
The Sr. Analyst, IT - Project Manager responsibilities include preparing project plans and schedules, monitoring and tracking project progress, and providing regular updates to clients and management.
The Sr. Analyst, IT - Project Manager conducts the initial consultation with the client to define the scope of work. The Sr.
Analyst, IT - Project Manager provide the client with a written description of the project, and estimate within a negotiated time frame and budget appropriate to the scope of work.
This role may construct applications and participate in strategic and tactical planning and may participate in performance appraisals and hiring initiatives.

Position Responsibilities
- Independently manages all phases of systems development, including development planning, requirements analysis, input to database design, coding, testing, implementation and documentation of applications
- Communicates regularly with internal and external customers, in order to ensure the delivery of high quality systems and application documentation
- Proactively identifies and facilitates opportunities to enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of IT services across the organization
- Understands the role of DCRI IT in the overall corporate strategy and planning, and set objectives that are aligned with this role
- Achieves a balance between individual, departmental and organization needs
- Identifies gaps in core competencies and effectively use development strategies to build needed knowledge, skills, and abilities within the group
- Demonstrates a willingness to accept new or additional responsibility
- Delegates challenging assignments to employees to support professional development
- Act as a technical consultant to team members during system development
- Seeks and take advantage of opportunities to expand knowledge of DCRI operations beyond normal requirements or expectations
- Identifies and acts upon opportunities to improve communications at all levels and in all directions
- Displays an excellent ability to facilitate cross-functional communication, including ability to identify and resolve conflict
- Solicits feedback, evaluates and monitors client or customer satisfaction to improve the quality of services
- Understands system validation and documentation in a regulatory environment
Education and Experience
BA or BS in computer science, mathematics or a computer-related field and 5 or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PMP certification preferred.
Skills, Training and Certifications :
- Proven leadership experience and project management skills
- Thorough understanding of object-oriented programming
- Solid knowledge of web architecture, application development, and security procedures
- Strong understanding of SDLC processes
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to plan direct, allocate and manage staff to execute projects successfully
- Understanding of relational database concepts and products
- Participates in system architecture design
- Ability to translate business process language into requirements and system design
- Acts as a mentor to less experienced project management staff
- Experience in version management and change control discipline
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to provide reliable time estimates and to handle multiple projects at one time
