We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator / Project Manager to join our team and oversee complex projects from estimation through execution.
Job Description :
The Senior Estimator / Project Manager will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates and managing all phases of heavy civil construction projects.
This role requires a deep understanding of earthworks, utilities, and site work, as well as strong leadership skills to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and analyze detailed cost estimates for heavy civil projects, including earthworks, underground utilities, and site work.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers, clients, and subcontractors to clarify project specifications and requirements.
- Oversee the bidding process, including the evaluation of subcontractor proposals.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential projects.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating and managing heavy civil construction projects.
- Strong background in earthworks, underground utilities, and site work construction.
- Experience with FDOT projects and asphalt / paving / roadway construction is highly preferred.
- Proficient in estimating software and project management tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
