This role resides in Global Patient Safety (GPS) and the Senior Manager of GPS Planning and Strategy works closely with the Director, along with the GPS Leadership Team (LT) and the administrative office in support of the strategic planning and the operational management for the department of Global Patient Safety (GPS).
In this role, a typical day might include :
Supporting weekly Safety Sciences leadership meetings, tracking action items, and more broadly tracking objective and goal setting, cross-functional projects as assigned, reporting of GPS deliverables, resource forecasting and team communications, and initiatives associated with the science of pharmacovigilance in support of GPS departmental requirements.
In collaboration with the Director of Planning & Strategy and RA Business Operations contribute to supporting a high-performing, strategic, effective, and pharmacovigilance-focused organization that is well-aligned with other functions and is cultivating a climate of operational excellence, team innovation, and continuous improvement as we continue growth into a global team.
The Senior Manager of Planning and Strategy will report to the Director of GPS Planning and Strategy will partner across the GPS LT, GPS Therapeutic Area Heads (TAHs), and the broader GPS organization in support of portfolio and departmental planning and as assigned will support the GPS Head and GPS Leadership Team (LT)
This role might be for you if can :
- The Senior Manager will support all aspects of : GPS All Hands, GPS Who We Are platform, Safety Sciences Monthly Meeting, Team Site, team announcements, Monthly Newsletter, GPS How Do I guide, etc.
- This role tracks critical program and departmental initiatives through contributing to the GPS quarterly dashboard.
- The role serves as a steward to track SME (subject matter expert) requests to track utilization and help the GPS organization assess and review requests, assignments and tracking etc.
- This role will have an impactful, broad interface across different areas of GPS including in support of planning, strategic planning of GPS.
- They will lead agenda development for departmental platforms and support operations, strategic planning, and contribute to department leading effective operations and inspection, audit readiness.
- As assigned : Working with the Director, the Senior Manager will participate with strategic planning of annual functional reviews to further optimize GPS operations.
- As appropriate, this role may support other company-wide initiatives in support of GPS (Community of Practice groups).
- This role is both strategic and tactical, and requires an agile thinker with strong planning ability, interpersonal and communication skills, along with scientific and business acumen to work across GPS and with our partners to advance strategic planning and team communication platforms of GPS
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following :
- 8-10+ years of industry experience with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, science-based degree preferred, with specific experience in strategic planning and operations of a department in a pharmaceutical company.
- Please note this is an onsite position in Basking Ridge, NJ (3 days a week) with travel to our NY office 1 time per month.
