Controls to open US subsidiary to partner with local customers.

Controls, the Italian manufacturer of materials testing equipment for the construction industry, is expanding in North America with the opening of a subsidiary in the USA in January 2014.

With a local presence, Controls believes it will be better positioned to partner with its customers in the US, deliver expertise, and provide outstanding pre- and post-sale service.

Located in the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area, Controls USA (controls-usa.com) will offer a complete line of materials testing products for the soil, asphalt, and concrete sectors, for both field and laboratory work.

“The company will focus on an underserved market segment and offer automatic, computerized test equipment which provides superior performance-to-price value, more accurate results, as well as time and cost savings. We will also back this up with superior service,” says Alvaro Beleña, regional sales and marketing manager for Controls Group and vice-president of the new US subsidiary.

Controls USA will serve its customers through a combination of direct sales representation and a distribution network capable of delivering a high level of service.

The first public events will be exhibitions at The World of Concrete 2014, from February 21-24, 2014, in Las Vegas, Nevada, followed by Geo-Congress 2014, from February 23-26, 2014, in Atlanta, Georgia.
