Job Summary
The Department of Transportation & Capital Infrastructure is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Facilities Project Manager to be a part of the Facility Renovation team.
The successful candidate will supervise the construction of multiple Loudoun County facility renovation projects.
This position will :
- Conduct daily site visits to ensure the County's renovation projects are conducted in accordance with contract documents, permit requirements, and County policies.
- Develop reports on construction progress, field conditions, and project issues.
- Facilitate the resolution of any project issues.
- Review design documents and make recommendations on ways to improve schedule and budget.
- Be responsible for contract procurements and ensure procurements align with the County's procurement policies.
- Assist the Construction Program Manager with financial and budgetary matters.
- Oversee all aspects of the project and manage contractors to include coordinating the staging and sequencing of projects and verifying work is completed to the County's high standards.
- Oversee the construction team's quality assurance and quality control plan.
We are seeking an individual with :
- A proven track record of success in leading and managing construction projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in local government or commercial construction management preferred.
- An understanding and ability to interpret complex architectural, MEP, and structural construction documents.
- Ability to prepare written and oral reports, keep detailed records, and schedule work efficiently.
- Proficiency in creating project estimates and tracking budgets.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize work for self and staff and manage multiple projects and tasks.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field; four (4) years of related work experience;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Employment is contingent on successful completion of background checks to include criminal, DMV, and fingerprinting.
This position requires the ability to navigate active construction sites and may be required to remain on foot for extended periods of time to accomplish tasks or walk construction sites.
May be required to work in various types of inclement weather; may also operate a vehicle in various types of severe weather depending on assigned service area.
May be required to work outside normal business hours, depending on the needs of individual projects. Must have a valid driver's license.
