Material Handler Job Description
Responsibilities :
- Efficiently manage the movement and handling of materials, products, and inventory within the warehouse or production facility.
- Accurately track and manage inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
- Physically handle materials and products using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or conveyor systems.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting materials for damage and verifying quantities.
- Perform quality checks to ensure materials meet required standards.
- Maintain an organized storage system, clearly labeling storage areas.
- Follow safety protocols and operate equipment safely to prevent accidents.
- Address issues that arise during material handling, finding solutions to keep operations running smoothly.
Requirements :
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with inventory management and material handling equipment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
- Must pass 7yr criminal background check, drug and alcohol screen.
