The Opportunity : Our Insurance Broker is integral to supporting the delivery of a broad and diverse range of insurance consulting services to our clients.

This role offers client interaction and the opportunity to learn about the emerging areas of the insurance industry.

The Role : As an Insurance Broker, you will work collaboratively with clients, carriers, and colleagues to provide objective analyses of coverages available in the marketplace.

Our Insurance Brokers perform at a high level of proficiency doing analytical work, as well as interacting with representatives outside of the organization.

Depending upon the specific coverage details and requirements of the client, the Broker will secure appropriate underwriting information, answer questions, and, otherwise, provide a full scope of professional insurance broker services for all assigned insurance policies and supports revenue growth initiatives.

Key Requirements :

The Broker has a basic understanding of Segal Select’s insurance products Property & Casualty, Fiduciary Liability, Employment Practice Liability, Fidelity Insurance and Cyber Liability.

Thy effectively utilize their insurance acumen to market, negotiate, and service the client’s various insurance policies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Reviewing and analyzing client applications and financial submissions and completing comparative analyses on policies and coverages
  • Securing carrier quotations including negotiating with underwriters.
  • Preparing draft quote memos including recommendations.
  • Providing preliminary analysis of potential claims activity and applicability to coverage levels.
  • Maintaining and documenting accurate records within AMS 360.
  • Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within an insurance agency, an employee benefits consulting firm and / or related professional services or corporate environment.
  • Licensed Insurance Broker.
  • Demonstrated experience with Property & Casualty Insurance and Management Liability lines is highly preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree in Risk Management or Finance.
  • Desire to pursue additional industry certification / credentials including the ICSR, CPCU or the RPLU is preferred and encouraged.
