Description

The primary focus of this position is to provide administrative and technical support to two accredited doctoral programs Psychology.

This position will assist the Department Chairs in Psychology and will interface with faculty, students and other University personnel to provide positive, pro-active administrative support.

This position will also be a member of an administrative services team.

Responsibilities :

Serve as main point of contact to facilitate and carry out administrative tasks related to maintaining doctoral programs.

Design, implement, collect, and help prepare outcomes and programmatic data for accreditation and compliance purposes. Coordinate team meetings with faculty Directors to track student issues, track practicum training compliance, and support the internship application process for doctoral students.

Provide administrative support for grant submissions pre and post award.

Assist faculty program directors in tracking student registration and compliance with all documented Clinical program procedures, and help enforce tracking and compliance challenges as they arise.

Provide administrative support for maintaining all software used for research and clinical training within the program.

Provide administrative support and operational logistics throughout the admission process.

Participate in student advising, registration, curriculum & course planning, orientation, awards, clinical training placement and paperwork, maintaining student files and records, organizing and maintaining student data, annual student surveys, and annual student progress reports.

Provide administrative support to other programs within the academic team including, but not limited to, faculty support, office support and other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications / Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree. 3-5 years relevant experience working with Doctoral programs, preferred.
  • Strong computer skills. Microsoft Office experience required and Ellucian Colleague a plus.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment.
  • Ability to take initiative where and when appropriate, but also understand when consultation with Manager, and / or colleagues is necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a high volume, customer focused environment. Must be able to handle difficult situations and confidential material with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • On occasion must be available to work evenings and weekends, as needed, with team members and support both Departmental and College of Arts and Sciences events including, but not limited to, Commencement, Convocation, Departmental open houses, Admissions events, etc.
