HVAC Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented HVAC Technician to help us install, maintain and repair heating / cooling systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning air quality equipment and performing maintenance procedures as well as providing emergency repairs when necessary.

HVAC Technician responsibilities include performing maintenance and installations as needed and prioritizing calls based on business goals.

HVAC responsibilities will also assist our company to grow into completing HVAC cleaning of systems including ductwork for routine cleanings and after-restoration jobs such as a fire loss.

Ultimately, you will work with customers to ensure their HVAC units run smoothly at all times and perform necessary installations, cleaning, and repairs.

HVAC Duties and Responsibilities

• Discuss various options with clients when it comes to heating and cooling systems
• Troubleshoot issues with a current system as they are identified
• Conduct performance tests with specialized tools and adjust system settings
• Categorize and organize inventory to limit unnecessary losses to the company
• New installs
• System and Ductwork cleaning

HVAC Requirements and Qualifications

• Proven work experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role
• Current driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle
• Required state licensing for HVAC technicians
• Certification or associate’s degree from an HVAC program at a technical school

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

Walking and / or standing throughout the day. Frequent climbing ladders. Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.

The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme conditions such as heat. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs or more.

Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours, and Travel Requirements

This is a full-time salary position, working 7 : 30 a.m. 4 : 00 p.m., Monday Friday, 40 hours per week. This position could require longer hours (beyond 8 hours a day), occasionally working on-call, and occasional weekend work.

Travel may be required but is primarily local. However, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected although it would be rare.
