What You’ll Do :

The mission of the role is to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and office facility. This role ensures a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

The Custodian will perform routine cleaning tasks, manage waste disposal, and assist with facility maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities :

Cleaning and Maintenance :

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, including office furniture, equipment, and fixtures.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and manage waste disposal.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas, including warehouses, offices, and breakrooms.

Facility Upkeep :

• Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with minor repairs and adjustments as required.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

Safety and Compliance :

• Adhere to safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Facilities Manager.

Special Projects :

• Assist with setup and cleanup for special events or meetings.
• Perform seasonal deep-cleaning tasks as needed.

Other tasks and duties as asked or required.

Required Skills / Experience :

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Fluent English communication skills (both verbal and written) are required
• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial services is a plus
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies

Ability to handle cleaning chemicals and operate cleaning machinery safely

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks
