We are looking for a
Junior Project Coordinator
for Charleston, WV location with 0-2 years of experience who wants to work within the oil and gas industry!
Job Overview :
The successful candidate will report to the Manager of United States Gas Project Management for In-line Inspection (ILI).
This role is crucial for coordinating and planning field activities to ensure the safe execution of ILI (smart pigging), maintenance pigging, and chemical cleaning programs.
Effective communication and collaboration with Regional Operations, Gas Control, Pipe Integrity, Operations Planning, Commercial Operations, the Internal Pigging Group, and Engineering are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities :
Safety Compliance
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Field Coordination
Implement the ILI program and manage field activities.
Stakeholder Liaison
Maintain communication with Regional Operations, Gas Control, Pipe Integrity, Operations Planning, Commercial Operations, FWP’s, Land, Engineering, and other stakeholders as needed.
Contractor Supervision
Oversee and coordinate third-party contractors in the field.
Scheduling and Coordination
Manage daily schedules and coordinate with regional teams.
Technical Analysis
Conduct technical analyses to formulate action recommendations.
Facility Inspections
Perform preliminary inspections to support program design and implementation, such as launcher / receiver installations and project scoping.
Cost Tracking and Reporting
Monitor daily costs, manage manpower scheduling, document activities, and produce daily reports.
Support Functions
Provide assistance to head office as needed.
Procedure Development
Aid in the creation of procedures and contingency plans.
Training and Mentorship
Identify training needs for ILI Project Coordination and mentor regional ILI Coordinators when required.
Qualifications / Skills
- Strong project coordination and leadership abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficient problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Education :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or over one year of industry-related experience.
Experience
- Progressive operations experience and familiarity with pipeline design and construction are preferred.
- Experience with gas handling, surveying, and a solid level of computer literacy are advantageous.
