Job Overview This position exists to support the financial analysis and business operations of the Pharmacy and Oncology service lines.
These activities include utilizing the financial applications of Deaconess Health System to coordinate report and analyze the financial performance and business operations of respective service lines throughout the organization.
Contributes toward successful implementation of annual operating and capital budgets and long-range financial goals considering alternative scenarios and economic prospects as appropriate.
Reviews findings and provides financial analysis and formulation of recommendations to achieve plan objectives. Evaluates current and new programs for cost effectiveness and quality value.
Prepares narratives of financial performance and variances to department manager / director for review. Prepares proformas for new programs and service expansion.
Assures billing and coding compliance# Provides systems for monitoring and evaluating appropriate levels of unit supplies and equipment.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the hospital#s policies and applicable laws. Interacts with all levels of management inclusive of Deaconess Health System Senior Executives, Directors, Managers and Supervisors.
What you will need Bachelor#s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Healthcare Management required. Requires prior experience in accounting, finance or budgeting with five to seven years related experience preferred.
Healthcare experience strongly preferred. Requires a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; with special emphasis on Excel.
Requires a general knowledge of external reporting requirements mandated by local, state, federal and other regulatory agencies;
including Internal Revenue Service, applicable state#s Department of Revenue; Medicare and Medicaid. Requires knowledge of financial management processes.
Requires familiarity with personal computer database management and spreadsheet applications. Requires the ability to lead quality improvement initiatives.
Requires the ability analyze and manage the utilization of resources. Requires the ability to communicate sensitive issues with all levels of employees / management.
