Provides administrative support for the accounting department. Administration and review of monthly receipts related to the corporate purchasing cards;
journal entries, account reconciliations, deposits, coding of bills, emails, filing, copies, scanning; and other related functions that are performed daily in support of the accounting department.
Essential Duties :
1. Exhibits regular and punctual attendance.
2. Maintains accounting records by data entry, filing, scanning, and other methods.
3. Administration and review of monthly receipts related to the corporate purchasing cards.
4. Account reconciliations.
5. Daily journal entries as needed.
6. Daily deposits and bank runs.
7. Performs various clerical duties for the accounting department.
8. Generates reports, correspondence and other documentation as assigned.
9. Effectively prioritizes and coordinates job tasks for maximum productivity.
10. Within departmental parameters, exhibits customer service, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
11. Provide professional, prompt customer service to internal and external customers.
12. Assists with other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1. A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
2. A minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience is preferred.
3. A minimum of 35 wpm typing speed is preferred.
4. Basic competency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
5. Must be proficient in general office equipment operation.
6. Must be proficient in 10-key by touch.
7. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
8. Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and documents.
9. Must be at least 21 years of age.
