- Block / special scheduling cannot be accommodated unless approved at time of booking
- 13 weeks duration
- No weekends / no holidays
- Will not float outside of the pathology lab
- 2+ years relevant experience required
- Types of procedures : Frozen Sections and HIGH COMPLEXITY SPECIMENS : Mastectomy, APRs, Limb Amputation, Nephrectomy, Laryngectomy, Radical Prostatectomy, Cystoprostatectomy, Thyroidectomy, Colectomy, Hysterectomy, Gastrectomy, etc
- Experience handling : Cassette Labeler, Dragon Voice Recognition, Loading Tissue Processor, Windows 10, Cryostat, Examination of complex surgical specimens
- 30-50 specimens per day
- EPIC charting
- First time travelers are accepted
- Dress code : any color scrubs / smart casual
Job Requirements
- Must be a Graduate of an Accredited Pathologists' Assistant Program
- ASCP Certification preferred
- 2+ years relevant experience
