Our client, a leading Medical Device company, is seeking an entry level Test Technician for their growing Robotic Surgery team.

This role is perfect for someone who recently graduated with a Bachelor's Degree and looking to start their career. This is an onsite position in North Haven, so we're ideally targeting local candidates (or relo candidates who want to move to Connecticut).

PLEASE NOTE : This is a 3rd Shift role (typically 11-11 : 30pm start time) - this is great for someone who likes to have mornings and afternoons open

SUMMARY OF POSITION :

  • The Test Technician shall support test activities to best meet the project requirements. This position will be a part of a R&D Instrumentation team for the Robotic-Assisted Surgery platform.
  • Support team by executing verification testing on test fixtures.
  • Communicate test related activities and results with team members.
  • Perform gauge repeatability and reproducibility.
  • Provide input to engineers to assist in the development of test protocols and prototype builds.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical testing to evaluate new and existing products.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • Bachelor's Degree with 0-2 years of experience
  • Solid understanding of technician fundamentals and proven hands-on mechanical skills.
  • Familiarity with standard test equipment such as force gauges, calipers, and data loggers is preferred.
  • Experience with working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills oral and written including listening; and ability to maintain clear project status and interlocks with internal project teams and external test agencies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills : function as a team player and work constructively and cooperatively with all team members in the best interests of the program.
  • Strong understanding of basic statistical analysis.
