The Senior Director of Neuroscience Partnerships will play a critical role in advancing our clinical-stage neuroscience imaging assets through strategic collaborations.

The candidate will be responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with pharmaceutical companies and academic institutions to incorporate our imaging biomarkers into clinical trials.

The candidate will represent the molecules in key public private partnerships. The candidate will provide scientific guidance to pharma and academic partners to enable seamless integration of imaging biomarkers while maintaining alignment with clinical trial goals and regulatory requirements.

The candidate will be expected to work with all Lantheus’ capabilities and Line Functions to ensure full view of the necessary resources required to foster and drive the partnership build product roadmap, invest in new capabilities, and constantly evolve in efficiencies as the product scales up.

A deep understanding of clinical trials, including scientific, operational, and regulatory aspects, is essential. The role will report into the Vice President and head of Imaging Biomarker unit within Corporate Development.

The successful candidate will be highly driven and able to strategically identify new Applications aligned with the strategy set forth by the Biomarker and Digital Solutions leadership team.

This includes relevant industry conference attendance, leveraging existing networks, and representing the company in the Neuroscience community.

The role will work closely to inform and support new asset in-licensing or acquisitions and provide feedback from customers on what would address known unmet needs.

Feedback and / or participation on other strategic projects will be required on an ad hoc basis.

The position is fast-paced and highly collaborative, working with a dynamic network of internal and external stakeholders to achieve Biomarker solutions revenue and strategic goals.

Key internal partners include Legal, R&D, Medical Affairs, Tech Ops, Supply Chain and the rest of the Corporate Development team.

External partners include Pharma Partners (such as BD, translational, imaging, and clinical operations teams), academic thought leaders and PIs, start-up biotech companies and external consultants as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • In partnership with Vice President and head of Biomarker Solutions, the candidate will be responsible to expand on new business opportunities in neuroscience.
  • Proposes and Champions new investments needed to source, build, and grow novel biomarker solution portfolio.
  • Understands and champions Neuroscience opportunities for clinical unmet needs; High Customer Focus is required
  • Stays up-to-date on the latest developments in the Neuroscience space and proactively develops new ideas to ensure more active collaborations for advancing utility of PET imaging in Neurological disorders.
  • Proficient in Pharma trials and requirements for servicing an extensive clinical network
  • Drives partnership deals from beginning to end, including identifying and pitching clinical use cases of neuroimaging.
  • Work with a highly cross-functional team both within Corporate Development and Lantheus to achieve economic and strategic goals
  • Continually refines contract structure to bring value back to Lantheus and Biomarker solutions unit and ensure efficient operations
  • Contributes to the overall progression of the Biomarker solutions portfolio by providing feedback to the team from customers
  • Support Biomarker solutions leadership with assessing and in-licensing of new opportunities.
  • Travel at least 15% of the time, customer focus is essential
  • Supports Other ad hoc new projects as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MS, PHD) in Science and / or business (MBA) is necessary. Prefer strong Neuroscience background
  • 5+ years of experience working in externally focused product development role is ideal
  • Experience working in complex partnerships with industry stakeholders (Pharma, academic, start-ups etc.)
  • Knowledge of biotech industry intricacies ( development risk, portfolio prioritization, approach to valuing pipeline assets, importance of regulation and intellectual property)
  • Track record of high performance will be required

Preferred Requirements

  • Intensive experience in PET ligands and Clinical trials
  • Experience in Alzheimer’s Disease will be considered a plus
  • Experience in imaging and / or radiopharmaceuticals
  • Experience with Pharma Partnering, particularly in a drug development setting; experience in Translational Medicine a plus
  • Strong knowledge and credibility in the NS field
  • Demonstrated record of high productivity and results as a product champion
  • Demonstrated evidence of success working in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to begin and complete all assignments with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and collaborative skills with individuals, groups, and senior management
  • Proactive initiative in communications and initiative in building strong relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to generate reports and presentations
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
  • Strong writing, presentation, organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate scientific or technical information
  • Ability to work across multi-disciplinary groups and to lead decision-making discussions
