About The Position
Job Title : Staff Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Radiology and Ancillary Nursing Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 1st Shift - 4 eight-hour days, hours 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM with on-call rotation (no weekends / holidays) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : 1 year of critical care experience required;
procedural experience preferred License : Current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC Certifications : American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire Must-Have : Clinical competence and experience in procedural nursing care- Prior ICU and / or Emergency Room experience- Excellent communication skills Job Description : Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a primarily adult patient population in an inpatient environment- Provide conscious sedation and conduct pre-procedural patient calls- Demonstrate competency in the delivery of care to patients- Follow standards of practice as outlined in the ANA Nursing : Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010)- Utilize professional knowledge acquired through education at an accredited School of Nursing- Required to enroll in a BSN (or higher nursing degree) program if possessing less than one year of licensed registered nurse experience upon hire, with program acceptance expected within 15 months and completion within 5 years (or 6 years if pursuing MSN, DNP, or PhD in Nursing) - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
