Location : Washington, DC (Northeast - Free parking. Not easily accessible by public transportation)
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 4 : 00pm
Staff Accountant
Responsibilities :
Staff Accountant will be responsible for payroll processing for 50 union employees, weekly - entering time, and then assisting Controller with the post net processing;
mostly MD & DC employees
- Staff Accountant will be responsible for billing for construction contracts - some monthly, some biweekly (less than 15 per cycle)
- Staff Accountant will be responsible for AP - coding, entering into the accounting system (75-100 invoices / month)
- Staff Accountant will complete ad hoc tasks and projects, as requested
Requirements :
- 2-3+ years of accounting experience required for Staff Accountant role
- Staff Accountant should have basic Excel skills - must be able to create a spreadsheet and work with existing spreadsheets
- Must have some knowledge of GL and how AP affects the GL
- Payroll experience is a plus but NOT required
- Construction experience is a plus but NOT required
- Sage 100 experience is a plus but NOT required
- Degree is a plus but NOT required
