Job Description :
Pay Range $13.31hr - $14.31hr
Responsibilities :
- Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
- Successfully completes all site-specific training regarding safety and quality.
- Receives components or items for assembly and / or test in programmed sequence.
- Assembles and tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination.
- May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products.
- Follows clear assembly / test instructions, e.g. color code, pvc thermal welding and thread tapping.
- Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures.
- Enter work hours in the ERP system (Currently SAP), if applicable to the site.
- Completes required documentation related to production.
- Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping / 5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.
- Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings.
- Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition.
- Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.
Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED.
Knowledge and Experience :
Mechanical aptitude as evidenced by work experience, high school / tech school coursework, hobbies, etc.
Physical Requirements (Due to the nature of the job) :
- Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
- Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
- The candidate should be able to lift 30 pounds with assistance..
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
- Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- May work indoors and outdoors as needed.
- Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
- May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
- May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
- Work surfaces may include concrete.
- Employees must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
- 1-3 years experience.
