Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Target Salary : $145,000 160,000 + sign on bonus and excellent benefits
Responsibilities
Provides health maintenance including well child exams, developmental screening, education, and counseling to patients from birth through young adulthood Works closely with parents / guardian of patients in the practice to inform, support and educate about their child's health and illnesses Provides diagnosis and treatment to common childhood illnesses Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate lab and diagnostic tests to assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs and communicates that information to patients and families accurately and promptly Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures Records pertinent patient care findings in the electronic medical record Maintains interdisciplinary approach to planning and communicating patient care information by discussing patient data with appropriate physicians and other health care professionals Incorporates the concepts of health maintenance, prevention of disease and injury, and health promotion into daily practice through patient education and counseling Works closely with nursing and medical assistant staff to provide quality patient care Maintains a safe environment Demonstrates awareness of community resources and assists staff, patients, and families to effectively utilize them
Qualifications
Master’s degree in nursing
American Nurses Association (ANA) certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner or NCCPA Certification
