Hospice nurses provide end of life care to help ensure the comfort and quality of life for their patients. They primarily work in collaborative, team-driven environments that require frequent communication with their patients, families and other caregivers.
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, patient and calm. Hospice nurses are caring and kind individuals who possess a special hospice heart who can help our patients celebrate the rest of their life’s journey.
Responsibilities
Hours of operation : 8 : 30am - 5pm
JOB SUMMARY
Serves as clinical resource for direct patient care group staff, facilitating orientation, Agency education and Supervisory visits.
Qualifications
A. Education / Regulatory Requirements :
- RN degree from a college or university, accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and / or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
- Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida.
B. Skills :
- Five years of nursing experience.
- High degree of initiative and judgment required to plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate Staff performance.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles.
- EMR software experience a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiencies in computer skills.
C. Professional Requirements :
Demonstrated experience with oral and written communication which includes public speaking and teaching.
D. Language Skills :
Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.
