Summary

Delta Oaks Group is seeking individuals to perform inspection services for the Anchor Rod Corrosion Investigation and Protection Program in the telecommunication vertical.

Positional responsibilities include inspection & safety evaluations as well as maintenance of telecommunication tower ground based anchorage systems.

Career and / or educational experience associated with gathering telecommunication structure field data, the inspection methodology required to obtain such data, and the maintenance of components is a plus.

Positional Responsibilities

This position is responsible for inspecting ground based in-situ conditions, gathering field data, and performing maintenance tasks for telecommunication structure anchorage systems under the direction of the Field Operations Manager and Director.

The selected individual(s) will be required to perform inspections and maintenance as a part of a two-person or three-person crew with little supervision.

Anticipated tasks include but are not limited to :

  • Perform technical evaluations of anchor conditions and compile Anchor Rod Corrosion Investigation and Protection Program data and photo documentation
  • Perform soil corrosivity panel testing on collected samples under the direction of the Field Lead and Field Operations Manager
  • Maintain Company, Client, OSHA, and industry safety best practices
  • Performing foundation investigations for existing foundation elements including non-destructive testing applications as applicable in the Anchor Rod Corrosion Investigation and Protection Program
  • Develop a working knowledge and thorough familiarity with codes and standards relating to telecommunication structures, including TIA / EIA-222 requirements
  • Ability to work in two-person or three-person teams independently with limited supervision
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and professional demeanor while interacting with clients, co-workers, landowners, client representatives and regulatory & safety officials
  • Representing Delta Oaks Group in a professional manner at all times on field rotation trips
  • Appropriate utilization of company equipment and property including adherence to all applicable safety, maintenance, storage, and security protocols
  • Successfully complete and maintain the required training and certifications to adhere to all government, industry, and company standards, including all applicable safety requirements.

Training to include but not limited to OSHA 10, CPR / First Aid Certification, Excavator Operator Certification, RF Awareness and Defensive Driver Certification.

Due to the nature and limited timelines of most projects, the selected candidate should be willing and capable of exhibiting the work ethic and social ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment where timely communication with co-workers, clients and strategic partners is paramount.

Computer Software Experience

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel functions is required

Experience / Minimum Requirements

  • Zero (0) to five (5) years of experience
  • Must be able to work outdoors, with exposure to the elements of nature under normal construction conditions and possess a labor-intensive attitude
  • Must have the physical ability to perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, and crouch as well as lift weight or exert a force up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to interpret telecommunications tower and foundation design drawings
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, contractors, clients, or their representatives
  • Experience with machine excavator operation, OSHA excavation, benching & shoring techniques is a plus
  • Working knowledge and thorough familiarity with small engine equipment and tool usage is a plus
  • Knowledge of tower reinforcement / erection and tower construction practices is a plus
