The Role at Glance :
- As Project Manager, you’ll work with the MEP trades, subcontractors, doing schedules and financials on the MEP side.
- Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals.
- Participates in estimating customer design proposals.
- Analyzes subcontractor proposals for compliance with criteria.
- Negotiates contracts with subcontractors and vendors, defining work responsibilities.
- Reviews subcontractor construction documents for scope compliance.
- Participates in awarding subcontracts.
- Coordinates design and engineering efforts; monitors financial project status; administers contracts.
- Ensures construction progress aligns with the MEP schedule.
- Reviews subcontractor installations for scope compliance.
- Purchases and monitors delivery of materials for MEP, ensuring optimal prices and quality.
- Reviews and approves subcontractor / vendor payment requests; issues timely change orders for pricing.
- Collaborates with design and engineering managers to ensure compliance with guidelines and customer satisfaction.
- Visits job sites to review progress and quality; may relocate during MEP construction.
- Works with the Project Manager to verify the monthly Red File report for MEP.
- Reviews shop drawings and submittals for scope compliance.
- Communicates and enforces safety program on-site.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 10 years’ related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess basic computer skills including ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail applications.
Also, utilize programs for calculating loads and performing cost analysis.
- Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development.
- Must have knowledge of either the mechanical, piping, or electrical trades.
