About The Position
Job Title : Speech Language Pathologist Job Specialty : Speech Language Pathologist Job Duration : 26 Weeks Shift : Day - 5x8 - 08 : 00AM - 04 : 00PM - 40 Hours per week Guaranteed Hours : 0 Experience : Acute care hospital and ICU experience required License : New York State Speech Language Pathologist License Certifications : - Certification in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech and Hearing Association- Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology Job Description : Conduct patient care including assessment and treatment for dysphagia, speech, and cognitive disorders.
- Provide services in medical units and intensive care units.- Assist with provocative testing such as Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) as needed.
- Work a 5-day week schedule, including weekends.- Participate in orientation for a total of 59.50 hours.This position is critical for delivering exceptional allied / ancillary healthcare services in a dynamic environment.
