Trusted Staffe is partnering with a leading outpatient center in Berkeley, California to find a passionate and experienced Principal Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Fusion) to join their team! In this pivotal role, you'll play a key role in providing high-quality patient care using advanced PET / CT imaging technology.
Make a Difference in Patient Care :
As the Principal Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Fusion), you'll be responsible for performing a variety of PET / CT examinations, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and contributing to the efficient operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform a full range of routine clinical PET / CT examinations independently, adhering to established protocols.
Possess expertise in performing at least 3 of the following specialty PET / CT exams :
PET / CT with Multiphase CT
Pediatric PET / CT
Cardiac PET / CT
Neuro PET / CT
Research PET / CT
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the examination process.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Prepare radiopharmaceuticals according to established guidelines.
Assist with patient education and address any concerns.
Participate in quality control procedures to ensure equipment accuracy.
Maintain a sterile and safe working environment.
Participate in departmental meetings and stay up-to-date on advancements in nuclear medicine technology.
Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and contribute to the training and development of other staff members (optional).
Qualifications :
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by either NMTCB or ARRT (N).
Active California State License as a Certified Technologist in Nuclear Medicine from the CA Department of Public Health.
Post-primary certification in ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) or NMTCB (CT) required.
BLS Certification mandatory.
Graduation from a JRCNMT accredited Nuclear Medicine training program.
Minimum 7 years' experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Minimum 3 years' experience performing CT examinations.
Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate locations and shifts, and provide coverage for weekends and holidays.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
