Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses / incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary
Summary :
Under the direction of the AVP Quality / Resource Management, the Manager -Surgical Case Review facilitates and implement the hospital's participation in the American College of Surgeons NSQIP program, collaborates with physicians, managers and other members of the health care team to improve patient care services and outcomes, identifies quality issues and formulate corrective action plans and monitor for sustained improvement assists in ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements and works in close collaboration with the Chair of the Department of Surgery on the peer review and performance improvement process for the Department of Surgery.

Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- Bachelors Degree in nursing or other appropriate health care field.
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner preferred.
Experience And Skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- 3-5 years in related experience, i.e. surgical nursing, hospital performance improvement, or other health related.
- Certification by ACS- NSQIP - preferred.
- Ability to build relationships and gain alignment for clinical support and be able to articulate questions to receive an appropriate level of support from superiors and peers.
- Data Analysis skills, report writing, presentational skills.
- Computer skills : Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.
- Basic statistical knowledge preferred.

License / Certifications
Computer and Internet experience required - familiarity and comfort with MS Office products is essential for success in this position (Word and Excel- required;
PowerPoint and Access- preferred).
Quality improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience preferred.
