The Neuroscience and Epilepsy Clinical Nurse is responsible for assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, implementing, and managing the needs of assigned patients throughout their care.
This includes overseeing progress towards discharge and managing transitions within the acute care stay. The Clinical Nurse also ensures the delivery and coordination of patient care provided by the caregiving team, maintaining high standards of competent, compassionate care in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Hourly Range : $36.73 - $60.93
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards
Minimum Qualifications :
- Graduate of a professional nursing program
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience
- 1 year of Telemetry or ICU experience
- Commitment to continuing education and knowledge of quality improvement principles
