Responsibilities :
- Adapting the existing curriculum in core subjects (suchas math and writing) to accommodate the individual learning needsof each student
- Creating personalized lessonplans tailored to specific requirements
- Collaborating with parents and support staff to addressany significant factors that may hinder studentsprogress
- Monitoring students abilitiesprogress and behavioral patterns
- Managingclassroom crises and resolving conflicts
- Assess students abilities and craft teachingplans
- Adapt learning materials to studentsneeds
- Keep track of and reflect on studentsprogress
- Find engaging activities to teachskills (e.g. drawing and theater drama)
- Prepare students for transition to the nextgrade
Qualifications :
- Must currently hold a valid Kansas teachinglicense
- Or be reasonably assured of securing aKansas teaching license with the appropriateendorsement.
- Bachelor degree in Education orsimilar.
