POSITION DUTIES
- Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, test, and / or integration to assure the quality of products or components.
- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Develops quality control plan for FAI and PPAP.
- Communicates with external contract customers regarding quality control for contracted parts.
- Evaluation of contract customer quality control documentation and clients compliance
- Complies and submits source inspection packages for contract customers orders.
- Designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes program (calibration) to evaluate the precision and accuracy of testing equipment.
- Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
- Write CMM programs to validate product quality.
- Performs hand or CMM testing to assure product quality criteria are fulfilled.
- Coordinate and maintain QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 standard.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and provides recommended process improvements to management team.
- Aim to ensure that the product or service the organization provides is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements.
- Perform Internal auditing in compliance with ISO standards and regulations
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical core preferred
- 3-5 years of on the job experience with machine shop manufacturing quality processes.
- 3+ years Advanced CMM programming and use, with PC-DIMS experience required
- Romer Arm programming and use, with PC-DIMS experience required
- Extensive experience in creation of control plans for FAI and PPAP.
- Familiar with customer onsite source inspections.
- Experience working with contractor manufacturers and suppliers.
- Experience in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 and AS9100).
- Experience in Quality System Audits (certified internal auditor a plus).
- Must be proficient in GD&T.
- Previous machining experience preferred.
- Previous inspection experience required.
- Ability to work in shop environment.
- Basic PC skills.
