Job Overview :
As our Maintenance Supervisor, you will champion a culture of empowerment and learning, guiding teams to optimize performance through coaching, communication, and development opportunities.
We seek an insightful strategist who can assess needs, implement improvements, and sustain engagement across diverse groups.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with departments to develop weekly production schedules, create maintenance shift schedules, and allocate resources based on line inspections, preventive maintenance (PM) requirements, and work orders.
- Manage contractor work as required and assigned.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, rebuilds, and line inspections.
- Assess, train, mentor, and motivate direct reports, fostering a culture of learning and development.
- Communicate performance standards, recognize individual / team accomplishments, and address performance issues as necessary.
- Coordinate, monitor, and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Conduct root cause analysis of machine downtime, recommending necessary changes.
- Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure progress against objectives.
- Perform PM and work order audits and ensure team members are trained on CMMS.
- Oversee major maintenance and capital projects, ensuring seamless coordination across shifts.
- Maintain plant facilities and grounds to comply with regulations and company standards.
- Assist in the development of maintenance and safety policies and procedures.
- Stay current with the latest manufacturing technologies and engineering concepts to drive continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Knowledge of equipment set-up, functions, operating procedures, and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) preferred.
- Ability to read instructions, maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in a maintenance department, preferably within an automated food processing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions for machine rebuilds and repairs.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance software preferred.
