Description
Family seeking a private in-home academic tutor for their 5 year-old. The family is homeschooling and this candidate will act as an advisor to and collaborate along with both parents to agree upon an appropriate education plan.
Their ideal candidate is on-top of progressive teaching styles and approaches. Candidate will be responsible for developing daily and weekly lesson plans based on decided curriculum and objectives.
They are seeking a candidate who can commit for a minimum of 1 academic school year ('19-'20).
Experience Requirements
3+ years of related experience
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Bachelor's degree (relevant education strongly preferred)
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Kindergarten-age curriculum, standards and benchmarks
- Ability to research, plan, prepare and execute curriculum / lesson plans
- Ability to tailor lessons to child;'s specific interests and needs
- Ability to commit to one academic year
