Job Summary :
Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and passionate School-Based Occupational Therapist to join our team near Palo Alto ,CAand make a positive impact on students' lives.
As an OT with Soliant, you will work directly within the educational setting, providing comprehensive therapy services to help students achieve their maximum potential and succeed in their academic and social environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assessment and Evaluation : Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs, strengths, and areas requiring intervention.
- Individualized Treatment Plans : Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Therapeutic Interventions : Provide direct therapy services to students, including fine motor skills development, sensory integration, and adaptive techniques to improve daily functioning and classroom performance.
- Collaboration : Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure coordinated and effective interventions.
- Progress Monitoring : Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to meet evolving needs.
- Professional Development : Stay updated with the latest occupational therapy practices and educational strategies through ongoing professional development and training.
- Compliance : Ensure all therapy practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as school policies.
Qualifications :
- Education : Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure : Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience : Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills : Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Certifications : CPR certification preferred; additional certifications related to school-based therapy or special education are a plus.
