Your Purpose as a Titles Manager :

  • Oversee daily operations of the Title Department, including hiring, training, and coaching team members.
  • Serve as a resource for title specialists across the Baxter Auto Group, supporting hiring and training beyond the Shared Services team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all vehicle titles (new, used, wholesale, leased, and trade-in).
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal title regulations, including DMV requirements.
  • Supervise title specialists, assign tasks, and monitor productivity and accuracy.
  • Resolve title discrepancies or delays, including lien releases, power of attorney issues, and odometer disclosures.
  • Handle escalated customer service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support tax and title documentation and DMV submissions when needed.
  • Verify out-of-state titles and follow up with dealerships weekly on missing or problem titles.
  • Stay current on DMV requirements and titling laws, attending seminars and training sessions as needed.
  • Model strong business leadership and uphold high standards of customer service.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
  • Requirements :

    Basic Qualifications :

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior title experience in automotive preferred.
  • Knowledge of DMV procedures strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
