NIHSS and CPI preferred Must-Have : General ED experience, critical care experience for ICU holds, trauma experience, comfortability to work all care areas including ED, ICU, and Med Surg Job Description : Work within a 35-bed acute care facility : - ER : 9 treatment spaces (8 beds and 1 hallway space) - ICU : 4 beds - MedSurg : 20 beds- Care for patients across all ages with varied conditions including sepsis, DKA, ETOH, ARDS, MI, trauma, and stroke.
Patient ratios : - ED : 1 : 3-4 - ICU : 1 : 1-2 (dependent on acuity / age) - Med Surg : 1 : 5 (dependent on acuity / age)- Collaborate with charge nurse, hospital coordinator, phlebotomy, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists- Utilize EPIC charting system- Floating is required if trained across units : ER, MS, and / or ICU- Participate in weekend rotation every other weekend;
no on-call schedule- Holiday expectations include working every other holiday- Approval of time off with conditions; no requested time off during the first three weeks of August during the Sturgis Bike Rally- Wear navy blue scrubs
