Health Director of Business Strategy
Location : Leon County, FL area (local candidates only)
Salary Range : $100,000 - $110,000 (based on experience)
Bonus : Potential for quarterly bonuses based on hospital performance
Hospital Size : 70 beds
Team Size : 13 direct reports (3 admissions liaisons, 7 rehab liaisons, 1 admissions coordinator, and 2 PRN liaisons)
Total Staff : 205 employees (FT and PRN)
We are looking for an experienced Health Director of Business Strategy to lead our healthcare marketing and sales initiatives in a competitive market.
This role is integral to driving admissions and overseeing marketing strategies in alignment with our hospital’s goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sales Leadership : Lead a team of 13 direct reports, driving training, development, and territory management. Conduct field ride-alongs and ensure team performance aligns with volume goals.
- Data-Driven Oversight : Monitor critical metrics, such as admission trends, case mix growth, payer mix, and patient outcomes.
Take corrective actions to reverse negative trends.
Market Strategy : Develop and implement marketing plans, oversee collateral creation, and coordinate public relations efforts to boost visibility and volume.
Utilize CRM tools to track and monitor activities.
- Collaboration : Work closely with hospital leadership to identify opportunities, enhance product lines, and ensure effective resource utilization for quality outcomes.
- Operations Management : Oversee the admissions process, insurance verification, pre-certification, and manage reimbursement systems in alignment with volume goals and resource use.
- Communication : Liaise with referral sources and educate them on product lines, communicate opportunities and threats in the market, and effectively present financial and operational data to staff.
Position Requirements :
- Location : Must be local to Leon County, FL (or within one hour, with potential relocation required).
- Experience :
- Healthcare sales / business development leadership background in acute care , inpatient rehab , LTACH , or regional-level SNF or Home Health .
Outpatient sales experience may be considered.
- Must have led a sales team of at least 8 or more.
- Education : Bachelor’s degree required.
- Preferred : Clinical background (RN, therapist, etc.) is a plus, though candidates without this will be considered if they have extensive healthcare sales leadership experience.
- Not Considered : Candidates with predominant backgrounds in medical device sales, pharmaceutical sales, insurance / Medicare sales, or those without experience leading a healthcare sales team.
