Interviews are now being scheduled for a(20-30 hours per week)Psychologist in Porterville / Springville, CA. The position will serve a residential care facility focused on stabilizationtraining, assessment andre-integration of bothadolescent and adult patients with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, as well as other behavioral disorders.
Core hours are 7am-7pm with morning and afternoon being most critical. This is a 20-30-hour-a-week role so some flexibility with hours and schedule will be needed.

Salary Range : $100k-$120k

POSITION DESCRIPTION : Provides psychological services to consumers following established standards and procedures of the STAR residential and Crisis Assessment Stabilization Team (CAST) mobile crisis services.
The psychologist will perform assessments; develop behavioral strategies in collaboration with providers and behavior specialists for prevention and intervention plans;
on-site direct care, modeling, coaching, instruction and training with consumers and their caretakers / direct care staff in in community settings, such as consumer’s homes, hospital or psychiatric settings.
The psychologist must be competent in the areas of cultural sensitivity for the population being served, positive behavioral supports, trauma informed care, coaching skills training, person centered practices, and utilize less restrictive techniques to behavioral issues.
The psychologist will provide psychological services to STAR residents as needed. The psychologist actively participates as part of the Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT) at weekly STAR meetings, monthly IPPs, Psychotropic Drug Reviews, and CAST meetings.
The psychologist is a mandated reporter of observed or suspected abuse or neglect.
Essential Duties :
Performs as CAST member to meet needs of crisis referrals, including : Collaboration and coordination of STAR CAST with consumers, community providers / caretakers, and Regional Center representatives Reviewing STAR CAST referral information in collaboration with CAST and completing assessmentsOn-site (.
community homes, hospitals, psychiatric settings), video-conference, or telephone support assessment and support
Provides services to STAR residents, as assigned. Attends Planning Conferences Assist in monitoring and certifying STAR staff for Registered Behavior Technician certificates, per Behavior Analyst Certification Board requirements Assists with the development of long-range goals, skill task, behavioral objectives and plans to enhance the individual’s intellectual, emotional, and psycho / social needs.
Completing 30-day admission comprehensive assessment, functional behavioral assessments, and positive behavioral support plans.
Assist the team in determining the appropriate data to collect and monitor and maintain these data collection systems for decision-making purposes.
Maintain long-term graphs for those receiving restrictive interventions.
Attends / participates in training. Responds to emergencies that involve the use of behavioral medical intervention.
Qualifications :
- Possession of a valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology and possession of an earned Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an educational institution
- Qualified behavior modification professional
