Assistant Athletic Director For Compliance and Student-Athlete Services
Palm Beach Atlantic University’s (PBA) Athletic Department is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Services.
Located in West Palm Beach, Florida, PBA is a non-denominational Christian University, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC).
This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for leading, planning and organizing all phases of an NCAA Division II compliance program for 18 varsity sports and over 350 student-athletes to ensure adherence to NCAA, Sunshine State Conference (SSC) and University rules and regulations.
This position requires attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible for the daily operation of the Athletics’ compliance office and program
Develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures and educational materials to ensure University and departmental adherence to NCAA, SSC and University rules and regulations.
Monitors and interprets NCAA legislation. Investigates potential violations and follow steps to file them with the appropriate entity.
Prepares and submits University compliance reports. Develops and delivers comprehensive compliance education for internal and external stakeholders coaches, student-athletes, institutional staff and alumni).
Works collaboratively with institutional staff to monitor initial eligibility, academic eligibility, and amateurism. Develops and supervises systems to monitor and document institutional compliance.
Supervise support staff
Assists with the recruitment and hiring of competent and effective support staff. Mentors and supervises support staff. Adheres to all National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Sunshine State Conference (SSC) and University rules and regulations
Responsible for working in adherence to all budgetary guidelines, as well as University, Sunshine State Conference (SSC) and NCAA rules and regulations.
Attends mandatory compliance and departmental meetings as scheduled.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- A Master’s degree (or international equivalent) in an appropriate discipline required.
- Three years’ experience in NCAA Athletics Compliance or equivalent.
