Job Description
This position is responsible for processing and maintaining financial aid packaging and services, for Title IV and non-Title IV, in support of campuses.
JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Package student aid, verify student reported data, review students for disbursement eligibility and approve disbursements to pay.
Reconcile student level disbursement data with Federal data.
- Audit processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness in all aspects of servicing functionality.
- Assist with program review / audit responses. Review and maintain familiarity with regulatory guidance from the US Department of Education.
Financial Aid Coordinator (Corporate)
- Adhere to FA Code of Conduct and ensure compliance with state / federal and accrediting agencies.
- Maintain regular status updates and upward communication to management to include : regular, established reporting, and action taken to resolve issues.
- Perform and complete other tasks that may be assigned by Supervisor
Education
- High School Diploma or GED, or equitable on-the-job experience
- College degree or a minimum of one (1) year of college level education
Experience / Skills
- Prior experience processing financial aid, knowledge and understanding of financial aid web modules required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented educational environment
- Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, and have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong work ethic, and professionalism
- Persuasive and effective verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service in an educational setting
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently and as collaborative team member and have exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills are required with proficiency in MS Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
CampusNexus experience a plus.
