Jackson Healthcare is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our growing information technology team! In this position, you will perform extensive quantitative and qualitative analysis to support business decision-making across the organization.

You will be central to providing insights to business partners through your creation and use of reports and dashboards delivered through the Microsoft Power BI platform and ancillary tools.

Your ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively will be critical to the success of this role.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Communicate frequently with business partners to understand their needs; assist in outlining requirements and advise on recommendations for best approach for solving business data needs issues
  • Assist business partners with solving high-priority business problems
  • Apply advanced statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques to draw data-driven insights
  • Manage complex and specialized data analytics projects and management initiatives
  • Guide company analytics best practices and seek out areas for improvement in data extraction, conversion and decision-making processes
  • Aggregate, clean, and study data
  • Code programs to help capture and organize relevant data
  • Guide data analytics team and set new procedures to improved business performance
  • Resolve urgent data-driven decisions and roadblocks
  • Gain familiarity with the data underlying Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow, M365 and other platforms in use across the organization to draw out actionable insights
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis around various business subject matters, and provide data driven and actionable insights through the creation of reports and data visualizations to facilitate business decision making;

highlight insights the data is providing or could provide that would be advantageous to the business

  • Design, develop, test, and support both standard and ad hoc reports and dashboards as requested by business partners
  • Ensure reports, dashboards and data feeds are secured and follow data governance and security policies
  • Analyze and interpret results using standard statistical tools and techniques; make recommendations for business based on data results analysis as appropriate
  • Support ETL processes used to pull data from the various business platforms into the Microsoft Fabric environment

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS :

REQUIRED

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, statistics, or related field
  • 5+ yrs of experience in data analytics or data science roles
  • Self-motivated with the ability to define, structure, and prioritize work

PREFERRED

Demonstrated ability to create strong visuals of data results and analysis that is visually appealing and can be easily interpreted and understood

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

  • Proven ability in using statistical analysis, predictive modeling and explanatory modeling to identify trends
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience with utilization of management best practices
  • Advanced understanding of data management and visualization practices
  • Fluency in Python, R and / or SQL for data analytics; Proficient with T-SQL and DAX
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • Expertise in building and deploying reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI
  • Familiarity with relational database models
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with one or more of the following business platforms preferred : Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow
