At Daikin Applied, as the Product Development Engineer II you will assist with the development of one or more primary systems or sub-systems on commercial HVAC equipment.
The work environment is fast-paced and the candidate must be driven with a high attention to detail. The success of the organization relies on the success of the team so the individual must be a team-player with excellent communication skills and eager to collaborate and learn.

A Day in the Life :
The Job responsibilities encompass 3 categories :
Technical Development of HVAC equipment using engineering fundamentals such as heat transfer, fluid dynamics and mechanical analysis.
Leading and contributing on the design of the following subsystems : vapor compression refrigeration systemsfans, motors, mechanical drives, and variable speed technologiesIndoor Air Quality Solutions : filtration media, ventilation, UV lightingenergy recovery systems : heat wheels, air-to-air heat exchangersheating systems : gas furnaces, electric resistance heaters, hot water coilscabinetry / structural systems : leakage and pressure testing, accelerated life testing, seismic and wind loadingunit controls design and validation : sequence of operation, control algorithms, & associated control devices.
Laboratory testing and validation of HVAC systems. Collaborate on cross-functional teams to test our equipment in our state-of-the-art Technology Center.
Gain hands-on exposure to the operation and function of commercial HVAC equipment.
- Provide technical leadership to bring design concepts to production solutions.
- Partner with CAD designers to execute product designs
- Collaborate with advanced simulation teams to perform FEA and CFD analysis of design concepts
- Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to transform engineering designs into production equipment.

What you will Bring :
- Minimum 4-year degree in engineering or related technical field and minimum 2 years of experience.
